Basketball Recap: Life Oak Cliff Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Life Oak Cliff, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gateway Charter Academy Gators with a sharp 69-47 win on Saturday. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

Defeat or not, Gateway Charter Academy got some senior leadership from Bobby Williams and Terry Richardson. Williams went 8 for 11 on his way to 18 points, while Richardson went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points. Williams has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Trevion Gabriel was another key player, putting up four points and eight rebounds.

Life Oak Cliff's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Gateway Charter Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Life Oak Cliff didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-34 win against A Plus Academy on the 14th. As for Gateway Charter Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 85-38 loss against Madison on the 14th.
