Preview: Foothill Trojans vs. Mira Monte Lions
Foothill has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Mira Monte Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Foothill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
Foothill struggled with threes on Tuesday (Golden Valley had six more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Foothill received a tough blow as they fell 63-47 to Golden Valley. Foothill has not had much luck with Golden Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Diego Cabrera, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Fernando Sarabia was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Mira Monte came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Arvin 79-52 at home.
Foothill's loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Mira Monte, the win got them back to even at 13-13.
Foothill came up short against Mira Monte in their previous meeting back in January, falling 68-57. Will Foothill have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
