Baseball Recap: Morton's Loss Ends 13-Game Winning Streak at Home

Friday just wasn't the day for Morton's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Geneseo Maple Leafs on Friday. The Potters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Maple Leafs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Morton's loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-8. As for Geneseo, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-16.

Morton has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Eureka on the 10th. As for Geneseo, they will square off against Sterling at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
