Chancellor came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Spotsylvania Knights to the tune of 52-16. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-2.

Leading Chancellor to victory were Natalie Lanning and Lydia Brockelbank. Lanning went 6 for 13 en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists, while Brockelbank went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points in addition to five boards and five steals. That's the most steals Brockelbank has posted since back in January of 2024. Amna Abed was another key player, putting up four points and ten rebounds.

Chancellor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 17 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Chancellor pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Spotsylvania, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Chancellor will be playing at home against Eastern View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chancellor is facing Eastern View at the right time seeing as Eastern View is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Spotsylvania, they will square off against Culpeper County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
