Softball Preview: Sandy Creek Patriots vs. Fayette County Tigers

Sandy Creek is on a three-game streak of home losses, Fayette County a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck is about to change on Tuesday. The Sandy Creek Patriots will welcome the Fayette County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sandy Creek will head into Thursday's game ready to turn things around: they couldn't quite beat Spalding on Thursday, but the two-run margin was a huge improvement compared to the 11-run loss they were dealt on Tuesday. Sandy Creek fell just short of Spalding by a score of 4-2.

Dominique Weaver was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zariah Harris, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.

Sandy Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Fayette County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
