Volleyball Recap: Dunkirk Takes a Loss

Dunkirk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Portville Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-17, 25-8.

Among those leading the charge was Mia Rhinehart, who had nine digs and four aces.

Dunkirk's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Portville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dunkirk will face off against rival Fredonia at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Portville is set to challenge their familiar foe Jamestown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
