Soccer Game Preview: Millbrook vs. Athens Drive + How To Watch

The Millbrook Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Athens Drive Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Millbrook's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Millbrook's victory against Corinth Holders wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats beat the Pirates by a goal, winning 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Millbrook were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Athens Drive was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Wakefield, falling 4-1. That's two games in a row now that Athens Drive have lost by exactly three goals.

Millbrook's win bumped their record up to 7-4-3. As for Athens Drive, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1.

Everything went Millbrook's way against Athens Drive when the teams last played back in September, as Millbrook made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
