Recap: McDowell Trojans vs. Butler Golden Tornado
The McDowell Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They claimed a resounding 52-12 win over Butler at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory McDowell has managed all season.
Leading McDowell to victory were Dominic Berarducci and Blayze Myers. Berarducci rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, while Myers threw for 205 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Kameron Bastow got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Butler saw an underclassman step up: Mark Klemz rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
McDowell's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Butler, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which is still a better percentage than their 2-7 record this season.
McDowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Butler is also done with their season.
