Volleyball Recap: Wasatch Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Orem

On Saturday, Wasatch faced Orem in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Wasatch Wasps took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orem Tigers. The contest marked the Wasps' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Chase Billeter paced Wasatch's offense, picking up 19 kills. Billeter got some help from Brody Hulme and his 41 assists.

Will Brown was the offensive standout of the game as he had 12 digs and two assists. That's the most digs he has posted over his last six matches. Lucky Jennings also deserves some recognition as he served his first aces of the season.

With the loss, Wasatch broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Orem, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.

Coincidentally, Wasatch and Orem will both be playing Ridgeline the next time they take the court. Orem will head out to face Ridgeline at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Wasatch will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
