Soccer Recap: Salina Central Comes Up Short

Salina Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Andover Central Jaguars, falling 9-0. If Salina Central were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to Andover Central when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Salina Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13-2. As for Andover Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salina Central will challenge Buhler on Thursday. Buhler's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Andover Central, they will take on Eisenhower at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eisenhower will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Andover Central surely won't give up without a fight.
