Softball Recap: Kountze Comes Up Short

Kountze lost against Kirbyville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kountze saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Berkley McFarland, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Kountze's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Kirbyville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Kountze Lions duke it out with Orangefield Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Orangefield will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Kountze surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kirbyville, they will head out on the road to square off against Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
