Volleyball Recap: Carmel Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carmel can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Westfield Shamrocks on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Greyhounds have suffered since April 15th.

Westfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Graham Weddige out in front who had 22 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Weddige has posted over his last seven matchups. Evan Huhn was another key player, getting 13 assists and six digs.

Carmel has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12-1 record this season. As for Westfield, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.

Carmel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westfield, they will take on Fishers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
