Volleyball Game Preview: Kerman Lions vs. Exeter Monarchs

The Kerman Lions will challenge the Exeter Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Kerman is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Hanford West just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-2.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 24-26, 26-28, 15-10.

Exeter not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Selma with a sharp 3-0 win.

Kerman's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 20-8. As for Exeter, their victory bumped their record up to 6-17.

Kerman suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Exeter in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for the Lions, Bella Renteria (who had 11 digs and five aces) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
