Soccer Recap: Millwood Falls to Miller School of Albemarle in First Game of Season

Millwood had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Millwood couldn't quite close it out.

The victory made it two in a row for Miller School of Albemarle and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Millwood will square off against The New Community School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they will face off against Hargrave Military Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
