Lakeville and Byron are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Falcons will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lakeville hadn't beaten Birch Run on the road since May 20, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Byron can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Montrose a 12-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lakeville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Byron, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
