Basketball Recap: Argos Dragons vs. Bremen Lions
Argos kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Bremen Lions 72-32. The Dragons lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 52-50 score last time.
Argos lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kinzlee Kelly, who scored five points along with five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Kelly a new career-high in offensive rebounds (two). Morgyn Barcus was another key player, earning nine points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bremen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Kincaid, who went 8 for 15 en route to 20 points plus seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kila Foster, who earned 24 points in addition to three steals.
Argos will be playing in front of their home fans against Jimtown at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bremen, they will venture away from home to face off against New Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
