Basketball Recap: Agua Fria Takes a Loss

Agua Fria won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 66-39 loss at the hands of the Westview Knights. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Knights are ranked 111th).

Several Owls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jason Mitchell, who posted four points.

Agua Fria dropped their record down to 11-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Westview, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Agua Fria will head out on the road to take on Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westview, they will be playing at home against Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
