Basketball Recap: Beaver Takes a Loss

Beaver lost a heartbreaker to North Summit when they met back in December of 2022, and they left with a heavy heart again on Saturday. The Beaver Beavers lost 62-41 to the North Summit Braves. The Beavers have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

North Summit had a senior duo take command as Trevor Richins dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards and Buck Sargent dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The game was Richins' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luke Brown, who posted seven points.

Beaver's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for North Summit, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaver and Millard will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Summit, they will head out to square off against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Summit knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Waterford likes a good challenge.
