After a string of eight wins, Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Belen Jesuit Wolverines by a score of 5-3.

Jack Ruckert was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Lewis, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Belen Jesuit, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
