Basketball Recap: West Ridge Comes Up Short

West Ridge lost against David Crockett back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The matchup between the West Ridge Wolves and the David Crockett Pioneers didn't end well, with the West Ridge Wolves falling 71-53. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Pioneers are ranked 17th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead David Crockett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brylee Tullock, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 22 points and three steals. The game was Tullock's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Story, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

West Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for David Crockett, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

West Ridge will face off against Science Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for David Crockett, they will take on Sullivan East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
