Soccer Recap: Springfield Starts Season with Win at Home

Springfield took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Columbiana Clippers a 5-0 shutout. Springfield haven't had any issues with Columbiana recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield will square off against Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbiana, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on Girard at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
