Basketball Recap: Riverbank Takes a Loss

Riverbank was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Ripon Indians and fell 64-33. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1237th, while the Indians are ranked 577th).

Marcus Madoski continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ripon, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Madoski has scored at least a third of Ripon's points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Baur, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Riverbank's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Ripon, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Riverbank didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-35 loss against Ripon Christian on the 27th. As for Ripon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-61 defeat against Gregori on the 27th.
