Whitnall had won eight straight games and Madelyn Schimmel did her part to make it nine on Tuesday. Everything went the Falcons' way against the Shorewood Greyhounds as they made off with a 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Schimmel, who had seven aces and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.
The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-10.
Whitnall's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Shorewood, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
Looking ahead, Whitnall will head out to challenge Kettle Moraine on Saturday. As for Shorewood, after both having extra time off, they and South Milwaukee will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
