Basketball Recap: Centennial Hawks vs. Mayfield Trojans
If Centennial was riding high fresh off their 59-36 takedown of Alamogordo last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Centennial Hawks were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 33-32 to the Mayfield Trojans. The Hawks have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Centennial lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joy Hunt, who posted nine points and six boards. Rizaya Cash was another key player, going 5 of 7 on her way to 11 points.
