Baseball Game Preview: Bell Creek Academy Panthers vs. Real Life Christian Academy Raptors

The Bell Creek Academy Panthers will face off against the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bell Creek Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Bell Creek Academy is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since March 13th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pinellas Park by a score of 4-2.

Bell Creek Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Anich, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Real Life Christian Academy came into Thursday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Wildwood by a score of 10-5 on Thursday.

Gavin Rose was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Real Life Christian Academy: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-8 otherwise. Rose was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Isaiah Navarro and Chris LaSalle did most of the damage at the plate: Navarro went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while LaSalle scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Real Life Christian Academy is undefeated when LaSalle posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Hudson Joyce was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

Real Life Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Bell Creek Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-1.

Bell Creek Academy took their victory against Real Life Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 21-1 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raptors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
