Soccer Game Preview: Telluride vs. Delta

The Telluride Miners will take on the Delta Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Telluride is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

If Delta heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Telluride took over last week. The Miners came out on top against Gunnison by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

Obi Clarke and Diego Montano scored all three of Telluride's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, Delta entered their match against Eagle Valley on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers fell just short of the Devils by a score of 2-1. One thing that didn't help Delta's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Essiah Mendoza.

Telluride's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Delta, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-2.
