Recap: Atkinson County Rebels vs. Brantley County Herons
The Atkinson County Rebels were the 56-45 winner over the Brantley County Herons when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Atkinson County took a 37-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brantley County on Friday.
Despite the loss, Atkinson County had strong showings from Savanna Williams, who scored 9 points, and Kamari Moore, who scored 8 points.
Atkinson County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Brantley County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atkinson County is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Berrien at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Brantley County, they will take on Ware County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ware County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brantley County in Georgia (Ware County is ranked 64th, while Brantley County is ranked 238th).
