Soccer Recap: Holt Comes Up Short

Holt lost against Liberty back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Holt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while Liberty are ranked 21st).

Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Liberty, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season.

Holt will challenge Timberland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
