Basketball Recap: Cheltenham Comes Up Short

Cheltenham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Upper Moreland Bears. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Cheltenham's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Upper Moreland, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Cheltenham and Upper Moreland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Cheltenham will square off against Wissahickon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday up 142 places (118 vs. 260). Meanwhile, Upper Moreland (ranked 100th) will meet Springfield Township (ranked 379th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
