It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Peotone had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the Herscher Tigers 2-1. This was a revenge game for Peotone: when they faced off against Herscher on May 6th, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Nayeli Horta and Allie Werner scored both of Peotone's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 38 goals.

Peotone is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 61 goals over those 11 games. As for Herscher, they moved to 17-4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Peotone wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Chicago University on the 27th. Herscher does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
