Softball Recap: Skyline Spartans vs. Inglemoor Vikings

Skyline proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by ten) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Inglemoor Vikings. For Skyline, this counts as revenge for the 9-8 defeat Inglemoor walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March.

Sarah Parker and Elle Sexton did most of the damage at the plate: Parker scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Sexton scored two runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Nazli Chavez, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.

On Inglemoor's side, Shannon Tierney made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, a triple, and a double.
