Softball Recap: Shorecrest Takes a Loss

Shorecrest fell victim to Shorewood and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 12-0 to the Stormrays. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Scots were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Shorecrest and nudges their season record down to 4-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-3 Edmonds-Woodway (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 69.9% over those games). As for Shorewood, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Shorecrest will challenge rival Edmonds-Woodway at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Shorewood is set to square off against their familiar foe Mountlake Terrace at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
