Baseball Recap: Poca Takes a Loss

Poca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Ritchie County Rebels.

Poca saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Bonnett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Bonnett is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Poca's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Ritchie County, they moved to 4-18-1 with that win, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poca will take on Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bison will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Dots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ritchie County, they will square off against Robert C. Byrd at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
