Baseball Game Preview: Coral Springs Charter Panthers vs. Cooper City Cowboys

The Coral Springs Charter Panthers will face off against the Cooper City Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Coral Springs Charter's offense. They fell just short of Western by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Reid Dadic was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Coral Springs Charter is 6-3 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-8 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Cooper City got the win against Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday by a conclusive 11-2. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Flying L's recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Cooper City's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Coral Springs Charter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Coral Springs Charter took their victory against Cooper City in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cowboys turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
