Basketball Recap: Meadowcreek Find Success

Meadowcreek hadn't done well against Berkmar recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Meadowcreek Mustangs walked away with a 54-47 victory over the Berkmar Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-61 back in December of 2024.

Jayson Fleming went supernova for Meadowcreek, going 6 of 11 en route to 17 points. Hady Diane was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points and six boards.

Meadowcreek's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Berkmar, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadowcreek will welcome Peachtree Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peachtree Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Meadowcreek likes a good challenge. Berkmar has already played their next contest (against Parkview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
