Basketball Recap: Chattooga Victorious

While Chattooga didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the South Atlanta Hornets on Monday. The two-point effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win made it two in a row for Chattooga and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for South Atlanta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Chattooga will square off against Pepperell at 12:30 p.m. on December 31st. Pepperell is coming into the game with three straight losses on the road, meaning Chattooga will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. South Atlanta has already played their next matchup, a 40-21 defeat against Winder-Barrow on the 27th.
