Football Recap: Bertie Takes a Loss

Bertie's last matchup with Gates County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Falcons were beaten by the Red Barons 46-8. The defeat leaves the Falcons still looking for their first win of the season.

Bertie's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Gates County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bertie will face off against rival Perquimans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gates County is set to take on their familiar foe Camden County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
