Volleyball Recap: The Nueva School Mavericks vs. Castilleja Gators
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Notre Dame, The Nueva School was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Castilleja Gators. For the Mavericks, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 loss the Gators walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.
The Nueva School was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (113-110), but they still managed to win. After all that action, the final score was 27-25, 19-25, 25-23, 22-25, 17-15.
The victory got The Nueva School back to even at 2-2. As for Castilleja, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
