Softball Game Preview: DuBois Beavers vs. Mifflin County Huskies

DuBois hasn't had much luck against Mifflin County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Beavers will host the Huskies at 4:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (DuBois 3.9, Mifflin County 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Mifflin County will be up against a hot DuBois squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Beavers were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Bradford on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mifflin County came up short against Chambersburg on Wednesday and fell 5-1. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Mifflin County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piper Specht, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Mifflin County now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for DuBois, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Mifflin County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: DuBois has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452.
