Baseball Recap: Henrietta Finds Playoff Glory Versus Tolar

With a playoff win on the line, Henrietta rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Tolar Rattlers 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Rattlers on Thursday, they had to take a 10-4 loss.

Caden Frost spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Henrietta's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brighton Roberson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Roberson a new career-high.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Henrietta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tolar only managed four hits.

The win got Henrietta back to even at 14-14-1. As for Tolar, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-12.

Henrietta will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rattlers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
