Ruby Cartwright, Sunnyside's most accurate shooter this season, solidified her role on Thursday. Cartwright almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine steals. The effort also marked the highest three-point shooting accuracy (50%) she has had since back in December of 2024. Her evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Coming up, Cartwright and Sunnyside will venture away from home to face off against Madera South at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cartwright hasn't had any trouble running up the score (she's averaged 20 per game this season), but she'll have her work cut out for her against a dominant the Stallions defense that's only given up 17.5 points per game.
