Baseball Game Preview: Africentric Early College Nubians vs. South Bulldogs

The Africentric Early College Nubians will head out on the road to challenge the South Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Africentric Early College is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 20-1 to Eastmoor Academy.

Meanwhile, South came up short against Briggs on Tuesday, falling 20-13. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Isaac Marshall was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Justin Davis, Jr. also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Africentric Early College's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Africentric Early College couldn't quite finish off South in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 and fell 13-11. Can the Nubians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
