Volleyball Recap: Corning Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Corning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Anderson Cubs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cardinals have suffered against the Cubs since November 5, 2015.

Corning was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-13.

Brystal McClelland paced Corning's offense, picking up five kills. McClelland got some help from Alexis Jimenez and her six assists. Jimenez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Angelee Arce, racking up three apiece.

Corning's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Anderson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Corning has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Los Molinos on the 3rd. As for Anderson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Etna on the 2nd.
