Spring Mills has gone a perfect 3-0 against Mercersburg Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the Storm at 4:30 p.m. Spring Mills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Spring Mills came up short against Musselman and fell 9-4.

James Buchanan hit Mercersburg Academy with a eight-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Storm came up short against the Rockets, falling 13-3.

Jaz Garnett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Spring Mills' loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Mercersburg Academy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Mercersburg Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Spring Mills has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Mercersburg Academy, though, as they've been averaging 11.5 hits. Given Spring Mills' sizable advantage in that area, the Storm will need to find a way to close that gap.

Spring Mills took their win against Mercersburg Academy in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 15-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
