Baseball Game Preview: Northglenn Norse vs. Skyview Wolverines

The Northglenn Norse will head out to take on the Skyview Wolverines at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Northglenn has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 31.

On Thursday, Northglenn came up short against Westminster and fell 13-8.

Max Plante stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Northglenn: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dom Ibarra, who went 4-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Skyview suffered their biggest defeat since March 31, 2025 on Thursday. They came up short against Gateway, falling 9-3.

Skyview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. Adrian Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Skyview's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-7. As for Northglenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Northglenn skirted past Skyview 5-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Norse since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
