Basketball Game Preview: Fluvanna County Flying Flucos vs. Albemarle Patriots

Fluvanna County and Albemarle are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. Both will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Fluvanna County beat Waynesboro 58-50.

Meanwhile, Albemarle had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Louisa County by a score of 54-47 on Monday.

Albemarle pushed their record up to 4-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Fluvanna County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Things could have been worse for Fluvanna County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-53 loss to Albemarle in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Fluvanna County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
