Recap: Marionville Comets vs. Crane Pirates
The Marionville Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 25 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Crane with a sharp 53-28 win on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Marionville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Marionville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Bright led the charge by scoring 14 points along with three steals. Bright has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lucy Newberry , who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Marionville's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Crane, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Marionville will head out on the road to face off against Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crane will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sparta at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
