Softball Recap: Dickinson Gators vs. Waller Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calallen, Dickinson was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Waller Bulldogs by a score of 6-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Gators as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Payton Gibbs, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted over her last seven contests. Mia Reyes also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Dickinson's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Waller, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Looking ahead, Dickinson will square off against Clear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clear Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Dickinson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waller, they have already played their next game, a 10-1 loss against Deer Park on the 1st.
