Basketball Recap: Belmont Takes a Loss

Belmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Carroll Patriots, falling 66-13. The Bison were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-8.

Mashayla Valentine was Belmont's leading scorer, having posted six points. Ashlynn Cox held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Carroll, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Belmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carroll, they will take on Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
