Soccer Recap: West Salem Takes a Loss

West Salem lost against McNary on October 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Titans came up short against the Celtics, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, West Salem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while McNary are ranked 19th).

West Salem's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for McNary, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-3-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, West Salem and McNary will both be playing South Salem the next time they take the pitch. The Titans will host the Saxons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Celtics will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
